Partner in Parks ProgramWant to make a direct impact on your local green spaces? Perhaps you’d like to tidy up the beds in your local park, or have always wanted to see more flowers in the central island of your cul-de-sac. The Partners in Parks program invites you to help care for horticultural beds across the city, including parks, boulevards and open spaces.
When you register and select your preferred bed, you’ll garden it independently, working at your own pace throughout the spring and summer. Typical activities include:
Unlock Your Game With Free Jumpstart Equip Sports Lockers! Coming to Primrose Park!The City has partnered with Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and installed 30 Equip Sports Lockers at select locations across Edmonton, including sites near community leagues, schools, and parks.
Think of the lockers as a self-serve sports gear library. Each kiosk is stocked with free, high-quality equipment, basketballs, soccer balls, footballs and more, available right where people want to play. Borrowing is completely free. Residents simply download the Equip app, unlock the locker, grab what they need, and return it when they're done. MoveLearnPlay with the City of Edmonton Recreation Centres and Outdoor Pools this Summer!The Child & Youth Summer pass will be available for purchase at your nearest recreation centre or at movelearnplay.ca from June 10 - August 31, 2026.
For $25 (2-12 yrs) or $35 (13-17yrs), children and youth have unlimited access to all of our recreation centres and outdoor pools (weather permitting). That’s over 50% off our regular rates! This pass is valid for 30 days from activation date. 2026 Summer Green Shack ProgramsThe 2026 Green Shacks program runs from June 29 to August 21. Every weekday, program leaders host games, challenges and activities sure to get kids active and having fun. A list of activities and special events will be posted on the side of the physical Green Shack each week.
