Aldergrove Community League Awards and Scholarships
Awards and scholarships listed below are awarded annually. A link will be posted for applicants and selected winners will be contacted by the board. Please email all questions to [email protected].
Connie Bowie Volunteer Recognition Award
This award was created to honor Connie Bowie’s many years of dedicated service to the Aldergrove Community and her tireless support in a variety of roles at the Aldergrove Community League.
The award is presented annually during the Aldergrove Community League Annual General Meeting to a nominee who most exemplifies the character and spirit of contributing to the welfare of Aldergrove community and residents without expectation of remuneration or reward. The successful nominee receives an annual membership to the Aldergrove Community League, $500 and recognition at the Annual General Meeting.
Nomination Eligibility
1. The nominee shall be either an Aldergrove resident or closely connected to an Aldergrove resident or family
2. The nominator shall be an Aldergrove resident
3. Aldergrove Community League Board members, Aldergrove Child Care Director and Aldergrove Community League Administrator are not eligible for nomination although members of their immediate family may be nominated by somebody other than a board member
Criteria
1. Volunteer activities will have occurred in the Aldergrove community
2. All volunteer activities are eligible for consideration, not only those associated with the Aldergrove Community League
Process
• Complete and submit the online nomination form when it opens in January.
• The Volunteer Award committee will contact you with the status of your nomination and if needed, for additional information about the nomination
• The successful nominee will be contacted by the committee and will be offered to attend the Annual General Meeting to be recognized for their volunteer contributions and to receive their award.
The award will be presented at the current years AGM.

Sharon Daubert Memorial Scholarship
Aldergrove Community League each year awards scholarships to two students who reside in the Aldergrove area and are pursuing a post secondary education. These students must be 21 years of age or younger. The scholarships are worth $ 500.00 each and are
presented in the fall.
Criteria:
a) Academic achievement
b) Aldergrove Community League involvement
c) Good Character
d) School activity involvement
The applicant’s name, address and phone number should be included in the letter of application. The Applicants OFFICIAL transcript and copy of a letter of acceptance to a post secondary institution (University, College or Technical) should be forwarded to the Community League Office by the current years scholarship deadline stated above.
